Feuerbestattungsverein VVaG is registered as a Versicherungsverein auf Gegenseitigkeit (VVaG) — a mutual association structure long used in Germany for member-focused organisations. Our association was founded on a simple observation: families are often asked to make decisions about cremation and funeral arrangements at the worst possible time, with little preparation.
Rather than adding another sales channel to an already difficult subject, we set out to build a calm, well-organised source of general information: what cremation involves, how funeral insurance typically works in Germany, and what questions are worth asking, whoever a family eventually chooses to work with.
